A Forest of Trolls

Today, we took a mini road-trip with friends (exciting and novel to do that for a change--riding in a car with two other breathing, vaccinated, humans!) to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens down in Boothbay.  The gardens themselves are lovely as so many of the plants are in bloom now.  But these days the site is drawing lots of visitors because of an art exhibit there--giant (recycled) wood creatures crafted by a Danish artist, Thomas Dambo. There are five of his creatures nestled away in the woods on the garden grounds. They're quite impressive and fun to see in person. Like wooden versions of creatures from Where the Wild Things Are, maybe?

We got free tickets to the gardens through our awesome public library here in Rockland. When we do get back to being nomads we're really going to miss the library and all it offers us.

In very boring news, we had to change how emails get sent out for our journal entries thanks to Google. Apologies if you get an email that looks like ads. You can subscribe to future journal entries using this link.
